Nozzle Collision Sensing with eddy BDsensor

Updated: Apr 16

Benefit:

  1. Avoid the temperature drift.

  2. Auto z_offset Calibrate From the data bellow we can see that the temperature drift will only change the z_offset, rise or low the bed mesh, but does not change the bed mesh with this BDsensor. that means the bed mesh is the same even with different temperature.

3. Repeatability: +/-0.005mm

Precision test

How does it work

  • Find the 0 position itself: It can be triggered after the nozzle touch the bed while homing--->then move slowly up until the nozzle just leave the bed--->setting this position as the 0 position of z axis. it can also do homing even without calibrate the BDsensor before
